Emily Ann Hoth
Missionary Setting Apart
By Stake President Robert Henke

Sister Emily Ann Hoth, in the name of Jesus Christ and by the authority of the Melchizedek Priesthood, we lay our hands upon your head and set you apart as a full time missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints assigned to serve in the Canada Vancouver Mission. And we bestow upon you all of the rights, the privileges, the responsibilities, and assignments that pertain to serving as a full time missionary and as a representative of the Savior Jesus Christ. And we bless you at this time that as you now go forth as a full time missionary that you will feel the love and the strength of our Heavenly Father and of the Savior Jesus Christ who love you and who know you individually, who want you to be successful and will bless you and be with you during this time of service. You are well prepared. You have a strong testimony, and are worthy and able to serve. We bless you that you’ll find joy in this service, that you will be successful in accomplishing the mission that our Heavenly Father has for you. We bless you that this mission will be an opportunity to teach and to share the gospel message with those within your mission in Canada. And in particular we bless you with success in learning Spanish and being able to share the gospel message and to share testimony in the native tongue of those that you teach. That this will be a great blessing, that you will find joy and happiness in the service, that you will grow to love those that you teach, that you will love the people individually, that you’ll love their culture, their language, and the opportunity that you have to associate with them. We bless you with health and strength during this time of service. That you will be able to accomplish what you have been called to do as a missionary. We bless you that as you are obedient to the mission rules and living the gospel faithfully, and as you study the gospel each day and remain close to our Heavenly Father, that you will have the companionship of the Holy Ghost to guide and direct you as a missionary. This will be a great blessing to you as you follow those promptings in knowing where to go and who to serve, but also in what to say and when to share testimony. You will have opportunities as a missionary to witness the Holy Ghost speaking through you. That you will recognize that those words that you share, that the message that you give and those things that you recall will be because of the Holy Ghost talking through you. This will be a great blessing to you and to those that you teach. We bless you that you’ll be protected and watched over, that your family as well will be watched over and that you’ll serve as a wonderful example to your siblings and to other family members as you share your testimony through your example. We bless you that this opportunity to serve not only will bless the lives of those that you teach but will bless your own life. As you will have opportunities to learn to be with companions and hoe to care for others and for yourself, and the experiences that you have will go with you throughout this lifetime. And the friendships that you develop will be eternal. We bless you as you study Spanish, that you will be able to learn it, and enjoy it, and although challenging it will be a blessing in your life. We bless you that you will enjoy your service with the other missionaries, and that you will learn from them and be able to also teach them, that you’ll enjoy your association with your mission president and his wife and learn from them and their examples as well. We bless you with great faith as you go forth, that as you exercise this faith and rely on our Heavenly Father and rely on the companionship of the Holy Ghost to guide and direct you, and as you exercise this faith, you’ll witness miracles and have the greatest impact as a missionary. And these blessings we bestow upon you at this time in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
